Job Description:For our Technology Center in Zürich, Switzerland, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic Mechanical Designer to lead the development of high-voltage dry-type bushings. Your responsibilities- Strong project participation for products and technology development of dry-type bushings
- Developing, advancing, and optimizing solutions for dry-type bushings
- Designing 3D models and 2D drawings of the products under development
- Providing suggestions and solutions to optimize parts and designs, with a focus on cost competitiveness and quality improvement
- Addressing manufacturability of components with suppliers through a combination of design for manufacture and design for assembly analysis
- Analyzing problems and offering technical assistance
- Creating and maintaining BOM and material master data in SAP
Your background - Degree in mechanical design or materials (i.e. training EFZ designer)
- Sound experience in mechanical design, possibly related to High voltage components
- 3-5 years of experience and familiarity with 3D modelling tools like CREO&PDM etc.
- Experience in manufacturing and various production methods, materials, and standards (ISO, DIN, IEC..)
- Experience in mechanical f.e.m. simulation is considered a plus (Ansys, etc.)
- Experience with should-costing and value design engineering is considered an advantage
- Fluent in English, good German skills of advantage but not necessary
- Reliable and independent personality with a high degree of initiative
