We are seeking a creative, adaptable and energetic individual with strong communication skills to oversee control activities within iptiQ financial reporting / actuarial departments and drive the risk reporting process across three Swiss Re divisions.
About the RoleYou will work collaboratively with colleagues across Swiss Re three lines of defence to support proactive risk identification and coordinate assurance efforts. The role presents various development opportunities thanks to close collaboration with senior experts, involvement in strategy reviews and complex cost vs. benefit analysis as well as exposure to a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, coordinate and co-author the production of risk update reports for top management.
- Oversee Risk and Control Self-Assessments performed within iptiQ Finance and Actuarial teams, enforcing Swiss Re Operational Risk Management standards, reviewing management actions to address existing issues and root cause analysis.
- Drive ad hoc assignments including facilitation of brainstorming sessions, risk assessment workshops, operational risk reviews and reviews of strategic / financial plans.
- Build up and maintain a network of experts to gain a strong 360 degree understanding of business risk profile including regulatory, sustainability and compliance risks.
About the TeamYou will be reporting to the Head Operational Risk and Risk Management Centre - iptiQ, Reinsurance Solutions and Public Sector Solutions.
Our Risk Management team has a business oversight and enabling role across three Swiss Re divisions: iptiQ, Reinsurance Solutions and Public Sector Solutions. We ensure that the conditions under which such divisions take risk, their risk tolerance and risk-taking decisions are aligned to Swiss Re standards. This role contributes to our team's success by making transparent to Board and Executive Management key risk exposures, promoting disciplined risk taking and driving operational rigor within the business.
About YouYou are an independent and critical thinker with a can-do-attitude, willing to challenge constructively and confident to express views on key issues. With your strong organisational and interpersonal skills, you are able to build effective working relationships with individuals globally across different functional areas and levels of seniority, leading and facilitating key meetings.
- You have a university degree and a few years of professional experience in risk consulting, internal audit or risk management department of primary insurance companies
- You are passionate about working in the fast-paced risk management function of a B2B2C insurance company
- You are highly proficient in English and can communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.
