Your role
We're looking for an Investment Banking Analyst to:
• assist in the origination and execution of investment banking transactions for corporate clients across EMEA
• assist major workstreams of M&A, debt and equity transactions including diligence, the development of financial analyses, and all client deliverables
• effectively work with teams of bankers across groups and other constituents (lawyers, accountants, consultants, etc.)
• provide critical support and input in the negotiation of transactions as required
• present to internal and external clients effectively and with confidence
• collaborate with colleagues across the firm to provide clients with seamless transaction execution
• generate new ideas and creative approaches that push the business forward
• make sound and balanced judgments (and always within professional, ethical, regulatory, and legal standards)
Your team
Unified Global Banking (UGB) is responsible for the origination and execution of Investment Banking transactions for Global Wealth Management clients. We advise leading entrepreneurs, family offices and UHNWIs with regards to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), equity and debt capital raisings and other corporate finance services.
Our team based in Zurich is part of Global Banking (GB) and works closely with client advisors and their client relationships across EMEA to source, evaluate and execute Investment Banking opportunities from Global Wealth Management (GWM) relationships, driving increased firm revenue. The UGB strategy is specifically designed for high complexity, high value clients who require the best service from UBS.
Your expertise
• prior experience in originating and executing private M&A transactions is preferrable
• ability to work effectively with both corporate and wealth management clients
• strong analytical skills and proficiency in all relevant financial analyses
• strong understanding of banking products, capital structure and capital markets
• high attention to detail
• currently an Analyst level at an investment bank or with such prior experience
• a bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field

• proficient at managing and cultivating important client relationships
• able to develop creative solutions to meet client needs and identify cross-product opportunities
• comfortable reading and interpreting financial statements
• a collaborative member of a cross-functional and global team
